November 2013. Local asphasia charity, Dyscover, is to benefit from a £2,000 grant awarded by CSH Surrey's Community Fund. Dyscover provides long-term support and opportunities to people with aphasia and their families, with daily sessions led by professional speech and language therapists.
The £2,000 grant will enable Dyscover to expand its volunteering base and develop a broader range of volunteering opportunities. The charity will also be able to create supported volunteering opportunities for service users with aphasia, both within Dyscover and with external partners through extending its Volunteer Co-ordinator’s hours.
