On Saturday 2 November, there will be no vehicle access to the Woking Community Hospital site to allow for the final delivery and installation of modular units for the Community Diagnostic Centre development.
Patients and visitors driving to the hospital site will need to park in the nearby Heathside Car Park. We are making arrangements for patients and visitors with a disability or low mobility to enable them to park and access the site.
As with the delivery earlier this month, Surrey Police will be supporting the transport of the modular units and closing Heathside Road between the police station and the hospital site entrance – please see map below for further details.
We are working with partners across the system to ensure that these works have minimal impact on the patients and visitors accessing the GP practices, Walk in Centre and other services provided on the site. A plan is in place to ensure that emergency services are able to access the site as and when needed throughout the duration of the works.
There will be an increased presence of staff onsite to support members of the public to get to where they need to go throughout the weekend as safely and as swiftly as possible.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
