On Wednesday 22 August the Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Shweta Kapadia, joined patients and staff to celebrate the NHS’s 70th birthday with a Big7Tea party at Walton Community Hospital.
The Mayor opened the event by saying:
“Congratulations and happy birthday to the NHS on 70 years of care and innovation. Community Hospitals are the heart of the community.
They serve local people and provide invaluable rehabilitation which is the key to rapid recovery.
At Walton Community Hospital, I know that patients here, receive good quality care without delays."
CSH Chief Executive, Steve Flanagan, Rhona Mason, Director of HR and Communications, Deborah Melville, Manager of Rapid Response and Community Hospitals, and the ward matrons also joined in the Big7 Tea party fun.
