We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Mohsin Salahuddin as our new medical director.

Dr Salahuddin is a practising GP at the Hythe Medical Centre and also serves as clinical director for North West Surrey Integrated Care Services (NICS). He brings extensive clinical leadership experience and a strong commitment to improving patient safety and strengthening community healthcare.

Dr Salahuddin takes up his role with us at CSH Surrey in September 2025.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr Salahuddin to CSH Surrey. His breadth of medical experience, alongside his proven leadership as a GP and clinical director, will be invaluable in strengthening our focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

I am confident he will play a pivotal role in supporting our teams to deliver the best possible care to the communities we serve and leading the ongoing development of our neighbourhood health services.

Tom Smerdon, interim chief executive of CSH Surrey

Dr Salahuddin brings both deep clinical expertise and a clear passion for supporting NHS community services.

His appointment is also an important opportunity for CSH Surrey and NICS to work even more closely together, ensuring joined-up neighbourhood care that meets the needs of our local population. We are delighted to welcome him to the CSH Surrey family.

Andy Field, chair of CSH Surrey

I am honoured to be joining CSH Surrey as its medical director. Having worked across primary care and in my role with NICS, I know how vital community services are to the health and wellbeing of local people.

I have the pleasure of working with some CSH colleagues already and look forward to deepening these relationships, strengthening our partnerships with primary care and the wider health sector, and working with the whole team to enhance the organisation’s strong reputation for safe, compassionate and innovative care.
