To further aid you on your placement, our Placement Education Lead can offer Pastoral support and can help raise concerns and support you and your PS, PA or Educator whilst on placement with us.
We work with a number of different universities and education providers who will provide support and guidance as required throughout your programme. This will include your personal tutor at your University.
My placement at CSH was a positive and valuable experience. Every was incredibly welcoming and supportive, which immediately made me feel like a part of the team which created an excellent environment for learning. I gained a significant amount of knowledge through hands-on work, where I was able to apply my skills in a practical setting and take on responsibilities. I am especially grateful for everyone's patience in answering all my questions and really explaining thing I found hard to do. This not only helped me understand new concepts but also built my confidence to tackle new challenges. I value the insight I gained into clinical decision making and the importance of compassionate, patient centred care. This experience has been fundamental to my development as a future nurse and has prepared me for my next steps. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. - District Nursing from a 1st year Nursing student I just wanted to give positive feedback on a recent placement experience at the Thames Medical Hub — it was a genuinely valuable learning experience. I'm especially grateful to one of the nurses, who was so welcoming and generous with her knowledge, as well as other members of the wider team during my time there. A warm thanks to all the staff for being so kind and for helping me learn in such a supportive environment. - Frailty Hubs – feedback from a Paramedic student I really enjoyed this placement and would certainly recommend it as a great learning opportunity for physiotherapy students. The practice educators were extremely supportive and encouraging. They were always on the other end of the phone when I wasn’t with them in person and checked in regularly to make sure I was ok. I felt comfortable asking questions and had the opportunity to work with other physios and therapy assistants, in addition to my practice educators. I worked with patients of different ages and cultures with different reasons for referral to the community rehab team. This gave me a broad experience of physiotherapy in the community. - Community Rehab Team – feedback from a Physiotherapy student
