CSH Surrey are delighted to announce Jane Dale as our new clinical non-executive director.
Jane has an extensive and diverse background in the NHS, after joining in 1982 as a student nurse. Since 2020, she has been a non-executive director at Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust. In this role she has chaired the quality committee, the people committee, acted as deputy chair and from 2022 onwards, been its senior independent director.

We are delighted to announce that Nicola Longson will be joining CSH Surrey as our new chief operating officer (COO) on 1 June 2026. Nicola will become a key member of our executive team, reporting directly to chief executive Renée Padfield.
We are delighted to announce that Dr Subo Shanmuganathan has been appointed as the chair designate of CSH and she will take up her role at the beginning of April 2026.
Dr Subo Shanmuganathan is an experienced leader with a 25‑year career across health, education, regulation and the charitable sector. She completed her PhD in Clinical Immunovirology at Imperial College London, and has since held senior executive roles focused on organisational development, strategic change and service transformation.

Renée will commence her role in November 2025, bringing 30 years’ NHS and public sector experience. She is currently employed as executive director of operations at First Community Health and Care. CSH Surrey’s interim CEO, Tom Smerdon, will continue in his role until Renée Padfield joins the organisation in November.
